25 Jaar Peugeot 309

Hello,

I'm very happy to find a Belgium forum dedicated to Peugeots cars and
I would like to inform you that we're organizing an international
meeting dedicated to the Peugeot 309 and due in the summer 2010, from
13th to 15 August 2010 exactly. The meeting will take place in France,
we'll visit the Peugeot museum in Sochaux and then drive through
beautiful landscapes in the Vosges region. I don't have more
information at the moment but I'll keep interested people updated.
I don't speak Dutch so I cannot post the news on your forum but I hope
you will want to let people know.

Tijdens het weekend van 13 tot 15 augustus wordt er een internationale meeting georganiseerd om de 25ste verjaardag van de 309 te vieren.
Dit evenement zal doorgaan in Frankrijk. Op het programma staat voorlopig een bezoek aan het Peugeotmuseum in Sochaux en een toertocht in de Vogezen. (Echt de moeite, ik ben daar begin dit jaar 4 dagen met de moto gaan toeren).

Voorlopig is er nog niet meer info bekend, maar voor de echte liefhebber is een datum altijd al een belangrijk iets.

Dit evenement is om de 25ste verjaardag van de Peugeot 309 te vieren en veel landen zullen deel van uit. We zullen mensen uit het Verenigd Koninkrijk, Frankrijk, Spanje, Griekenland, Polen, Duitsland, Zwitserland, Nederland, Hongarije, Italië en nog veel meer.
We hopen dat België 309 eigenaren zullen ons mee voor dit unieke evenement.

Voilà! Here are some details about the meeting.

Dates:
From Friday 13th to Sunday 15th August 2010

Hotel:
The place where we will be staying is a chalet called "le Chalet du Hauts des Bluches". It is in La Bresse, France and its exact address is:

The meeting:
The meeting will be a three-day/two-night stay. We will welcome people from Friday afternoon at the chalet. We will try to put road signs for you to find your way easily.
The meeting will officially begin Friday evening with a big dinner. After the dinner, people who will still have some energy left will have a chance to go to a place to drink a beer and have a chat.
- On Saturday morning, we'll drive to Sochaux just after the breakfast. We'll be driving through nice landscapes. The trip will be 1h30 long. We'll arrive in Sochaux around 10am and we'll visit the Peugeot Museum. We'll then eat outdoors picnic and on the way back to the chalet, we'll visit a very traditional place.
- On Saturday evening, we'll have diner all together and then we'll go to Gerardmer where we will see fireworks and have a drink afterwards.
- On Sunday morning, we'll go to the "Grand Ballon" which is the apex of the Vosges mountains and we'll drive through the Route des Crêtes, a very typical road with beautiful sceneries. We'll then eat outdoors. People will start to leave and for those of you who want to stay until the end, we'll continue our tour in this very unique landscape.
The meeting will officially end on Sunday evening.

Pricing:
Even if the price is still being discussed within our club, we can tell you it will be around 110-130€ per person. There will be a discount for couples and families and for our club members.
Price will include two nights at the chalet and catering (breakfasts, lunches and dinners), as well as the visit to the Peugeot Museum.
Price will not include any extra (drinks at bars, etc).

IMPORTANT:
Please make sure your car will endure the kilometers as we will be driving long distances. Make sure your car is safe for you and for everyone else and that it doesn't have any gearbox or brake or cooling problems since we will be driving through mountain roads.
Please make also sure all your paperwork such as insurance and registration certificate are valid.
The meeting is a friendly reunion with Peugeot 309 owners, it is not a rallye race so dangerous driving will not be tolerated. Police of every crossed "département" will be aware of our journey so we will not hesitate to report any dangerous driving.
For your safety of for the one of others, be careful when driving.

TO UK DRIVERS
I'm currently in contact with some ferry companies to get a great discount for you. Norfolkline is the one I personally use and it's by far the cheapest. In order to get a great discount I will need to know the number of cars coming to the event. All cars will have to take the exact same ferry.

Ik heb hier een formulier liggen voor de viering van 200 jaar Peugeot op 13-14-15 mei in Sochaux. Spijtig genoeg kan ik niet gaan (de kleinste doet den 13e haar communie)
