Peugeot 405 T16
I thought i would show you guys my Peugeot 405 T16. The car is from 1994 it has now 92.000km on the clock and i have owned it for about 3 years.
I bought this one under my stay in Poland so i was not only studying there i actually did mix business with pleasure and Pugs are pure pleasure for me:)
I picked it up in Krakow where it had been standing for three years, the owner took the car to the local Pug dealer to get it fixed and the car spent 1.5 year there they ended up changing parts for over 10.000 euro's and it still did not run like it should. The owner gave up and just left the car outside his club parked for 3 years. I saw the add on the internet the price began at just under 10.000 euro's but nobody was interested so it kept falling down under a long period of time and i just waited:)
Then it reached 12000 PLN so i said to myself time to pick it up!!!!
So i jumped into my CTI brought my Pugcrazy polish friends with me and off to Krakow it was.
This is what we encountered.
The interior
It was a mess!!!! The battery was dead, the clutch pedal was pushed to the floor, no gas, dirty like shit and not just on the outside i mean this is not the kind of car you buy!!
But on the other hand it is a T16!!!! So what do you do???? Well a normal person would just go home but we fixed the clutch on the street got some gas loaded the battery and started it up and it and the engine ran like a dream but something was wrong with the boost there was no boost haha well when the engine was cold something was blowing but honestly a 405 Mi16 would embaress this T16 just like that!!!
We discussed the matter closely with my friends and decided to give it a go so i bought it for 10.000 PLN and actually drove it back the 350km to Lublin where i was situated.

I have a long way to go until i'm fully satisfied but the important thing is that the car is in the "right" hands.
After a first quick wash the car looked like this.
Honestly i did was not bothered about the external looks of the car my main goal was to get it running properly and i did not know at the time what owning a T16 really ment boy did i find out the hard way:)
As nobody knew what was wrong with it at the place i was studying the car ended up in Warsaw, and stayed there for 4 months.
It got a new turbo, the Ecu was fixed improvement was done to the cooling of the chargeecooler. It now had full boost on first gear and boost was raised to 1.5bar, two maps were made one road map and one street map.
This is how it ran after i picked it up

Some pictures from last summer.
As you can see there is some minor damage to the front end of the car due to a accident with a wild bore on the way to MotoGP Brno.
Thank God 4 the Brembo 4-pot calipers or the car would have looked a lot worse. Nothing mechanical was damaged and we were able to continue our journey and watch THE DOCTOR in action:)
